s2309: (Neal 1)
Title: No Such Thing
Characters (Pairings) Cristina Yang, Meredith Grey, George O'Malley, Izzie Stevens, Alex Karev, Neal Caffrey.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 327
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Grey's Anatomy is Shonda Rhimes'. Not mine.
Summary: Our favourite surgical interns discuss a rather frequent ER visitor.
Content Notes: Mention of a werewolf bite.
Author's Note: Set somewhere in season 1 or 2 of Grey's Anatomy, because I'm nostalgic, even though the timelines don't match. Also, we're pretending Seattle Grace is in New York. Or something.
For challenge 1103 - Paging Dr. Kildare - at [livejournal.com profile] tv_universe. Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] kanarek13's recent art piece, and the White Collar fandom's loving whumpage of our dear, long suffering Neal.
And I know, McSexy was one of the rejects for Mark Sloan's nickname, but I can't think of anything else right now.
Sorry about the messy dialogue tags. All the untagged ones are likely Cristina's. (Can you tell I love her? :D)

McSexy's back. )
s2309: (Neal&Sara 2)
Title: Rust Or Gold, You Decide, What You See, What You Hold.
Characters (Pairings) Neal Caffrey, Sara Ellis (Neal/Sara)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 606
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: She decides what happens now. Not him.
Content Notes: Anorexia. Hallucinations.
Author's Note: Title from Rust Or Gold by Jill Andrews. S6 finale tag.
This is for my Music Is My Girlfriend meme (which is still open to prompts!), for the prompt Rust Or Gold - Neal, for [livejournal.com profile] treonb. My headspace is still shit. There is light in this story, though. (Let's not talk too much about the headspace.)
This is a sequel to She's Just Like The Weather, Can't Hold Her Together, and is set shortly after that (a hour at the very most, in fic-time).

s2309: (June)
Because why not? :D

I already have ideas for stories that fit quite a few of the squares (those are in pink) but I'm very happy to be prompted for the others!

Card! )
s2309: (Neal&Sara 3)
Title: Don't Need A Dozen Roses
Characters (Pairings) Sara Ellis, Neal Caffrey, Mozzie, (Sara/Neal)
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 6456
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: Sara Ellis is confronted with a case that promises to be just as exciting as she expects it to be and a client who's going to be a pain in rather more unexpected ways.
Content Note: This story portrays the very beginning of a D/s relationship. If you'd like to know anything at all about kinks mentioned or explored in this story, please don't hesitate to PM me.
Author's Note: This fic is for [livejournal.com profile] citrinesunset, for the [livejournal.com profile] wcpairings exchange, with love. I hope you enjoy it! It follows one of your prompts as closely as I could manage. And I am so sorry for the delay!!! Real life staged multiple interventions.
Be warned, italics have been merrily overused.
Pardon the formal register of my writing - I've been watching far too much of The Royals.
The title's from the Nicki Minaj song Get On Your Knees. I would call it the anthem of this fic if my words didn't always end up this damned sappy. As things are, this fic is also inspired by Same Old Same Old, Dust to Dust, Eavesdrop, Disarm, and Poison and Wine, all by The Civil Wars, all delightfully angsty. The Civil Wars write and sing the best Neal/Sara songs. (Disarm is a cover, for the record.)
Sara's a lawyer in this AU. I, however, am not. (In this AU or in real life.) And even if I was, I still wouldn't have much of a clue of the American legal system, which is not the same as the Indian one. So I bullshitted my way through the legal stuff. Most of it is probably inaccurate. Prior warning issued. Sorry not sorry.
There will be more in this verse! Maybe. Look to Can't Hold You Closer Than This for my (totally nonexistent, I can assure you) reliability with delivering on fic-related promises. (This one might just get written, though, because it's mainly sexy fun times. No promises!)
I will give this fic another editorial look-over tomorrow, because I am paranoid as fuck.
Why are my fics turning into such lengthy monsters lately??? What happened to nice little thousand word fics???

The first time Sara Ellis lays eyes on Neal Caffrey, nothing remarkable happens. )
s2309: (Alex 02)
Title: Lover To Lover
Characters (Pairings): Alex Hunter
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 235
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: France is the best lover she's found in a while.
Author's Note: For Day 2 of The Merry Month of Masturbation. Title's from the song of the same name by Florence + the Machine.

She's been making sweet love to France all summer long. )
s2309: (Neal&Sara 2)
Title: a heavy heart to carry
Characters (Pairings): Sara Ellis, Neal Caffrey (Sara/Neal)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 349
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: Late at night, Sara shows Neal the hardest parts of herself.
Author's Note: Dude, I don't even know. Apparently I'm not in a very good mood.
For a challenge at [livejournal.com profile] writerverse, for the prompt "He says, Only the strong survive, right?"
Title's from Heavy In Your Arms by Florence + the Machine.

Late at night, after the monsters under the bed have claimed their first victims, she shows him the hardest parts of herself. )
s2309: (writing)
What it says on the tin. There are a million other things I should be writing, but first, I need my writing mojo back. I haven't written in over a month.

I'll be filling prompts in the comments, probably in order, but I don't know yet. It will probably all be shit. I do not care. I'm gonna write.

This challenge is originally by Sunshockk on deviantart.

Also, yes, I'm alive. I may or may not throw out a life updates post later. It may or may not be flocked.

Borrowed from [livejournal.com profile] aragarna. I have fic to write, but anyhow.

Ask me anything.
s2309: (Sara 2)
Title: Just A Little Bit Stronger
Characters (Pairings): Sara Ellis, OC
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 550
Spoilers: Parts of Sara's backstory.
Warnings: Discussion of an eating disorder.
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: The first item Sara recovered.
Author's Note: Title from Just A Little Bit by Maria Mena. For Day 1 of [livejournal.com profile] halfamoon, for the prompt Origins/Beginnings, a little Sara backstory. No guarantees that I'm doing all the days.
I don't feel like getting into Sara's head right now, so this is mostly dialogue.
This was supposed to be just humour, but my brain had other plans. Sorry.

"Did you get it?" )
s2309: (Neal 2)
Title: I'll Say Goodnight But It's Never Goodbye
Characters: Neal Caffrey, Peter Burke, Mozzie.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1555
Spoilers: For the series, especially 6x06
Warnings: presumed dead, detailed description of the effects of puffer fish toxin, including temporary paralysis, shortness of breath and vomiting
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: Faking his death wasn't as easy as he thought it'd be.
Prompts: “He died whilst faking his own death” (“Gavin & Stacey”), The Vault
Author's Note: Title from Goodnight New York by Vienna Teng. For Challenge #12 - Weekly Quick Fic #5 - at [livejournal.com profile] writerverse. Episode tag for 6x06. I'm putting this down for the 'drugged' square on my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo card, even thought it doesn't quite fit.
This fic is essentially me hurting Neal in order to deal with whatever residual rage the finale left in me. Hopefully, I'll treat him better next time. And I don't think I properly dealt with the shortness of breath. Oops. Sorry.
I almost rewatched the ep to write this, but decided that it was better for my sanity if I just went over the dialogues using springfieldspringfield. And then I ended up rewatching anyway. Sigh. And I have more tags in my head, though I'm not entirely sure that I'll manage to get them on paper, they hurt so much.
These words were hard to pull out, and they're not the best they could be, but they're words, so.
Also, my fixation with the present tense continues.
For more finale tags, click here.

He'd hoped that Peter wouldn't make it, that he'd just see him in an ambulance before it screeched away. But Peter's there, using his badge to silence the paramedic so he can get to Neal. )

ETA - Found! Thank you :)

This is not because I need someone to hold my hand before I post, what are you talking about.

I would like a beta for a short fic I've just finished writing. I've had a beta once (in another fandom, it wasn't a great experience), and I'm not sure I'd like to have a beta, but if this is a thing that works, maybe we could keep working together?

General: My favourite characters of late are Neal, Rachel and Sara - I think about them most. I write other characters based on my mood and what the music puts in my head - all my fic can be blamed on a combination of free time and music. My upper limit in terms of word count tends to be 2k-ish, but I have a few longer fics that I want to write (that probably won't get done, but a girl can dream).

The specific fic I'd like you to beta is a Sara-centric London fic, about 1.5k words. It's set in the same 'verse as Somehow, Sundown (aka, gratuitous Neal whump), and while I don't explore Neal's POV in this fic, I might do so later on. (I make no guarantees because I am quite literally not in control of what I write.)

I am mostly fine with spelling and grammar. I tend to write too much character stuff and description stuff with not enough plot, and I need someone who can call me out on that when it gets in the way. I am terrible at judging whether a fic as a whole is cohesive/flows well/etc - I prefer to look at sentences and paragraphs - so if you can do that, that'd be great. Also, there are likely other things I screw up, please feel free to point them out.

PM me if you think you'd like to beta for me :)

[this was too long, wasn't it.]

Title: Burnt Out Flames Should Never Reignite
Characters (Pairings): Peter Burke, Neal Caffrey, Elizabeth Burke (background Peter/El)
Rating: R - curse words, lots of them (at least by my usual standards).
Word Count: 1197
Spoilers: None, I think.
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Summary: Peter's lost quite a few keys.
Author's Note: Post anklet, Neal's left for parts unknown. Title from Home by Daughter.
This is for [livejournal.com profile] joy2190, who left me this prompt way back when, and it caught my eye so here you go. Sorry for the ridiculous delay. I'm so terrible with prompts it's not funny.
I'm sorry, but I literally cannot arrange words any other way, there are way too many run on sentences, and a not exactly happy ending, but this is the only way words are cooperating with me right now. I'm sorry.

He's been dropping keys all over the place ever since Neal's anklet was unlocked for the last time. )
s2309: (writing)
I can only write in present tense. What even is this?
s2309: (Rachel 01)
Title: I Don't Feel So Well
Characters (Pairings): Neal Caffrey, Rachel Turner (Neal/Rebecca)
Rating: PG
Word Count: 357
Spoilers: Through to the end of Season 5
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Prompt: Never Kill A Boy On The First Date (BtVS episode title - S01E05)
Summary: Rachel's thoughts on Neal and Rebecca's first date.
Author's Note: For a challenge at gameofcards.
Title's from the Vienna Teng song of the same name.
I'm sorry, I'm completely blocked for Peter&Neal D: This is a thing I wrote a while back, it's only here for completeness' sake.

Never kill a boy on the first date. )
s2309: (Neal 2)
A White Collar/Scandal fanmix accompanied by about 1100 words of fic. Neal Caffrey and Olivia Pope. I'd say it was rated PG, PG13. I don't know exactly how sucky the fic is - I wrote it last night with a deadline (challenge 3 at [livejournal.com profile] gameofcards), I didn't even look it over, so it's probably terrible. But if someone's jonesing for fic, here, have some island!Neal angst C:

Spoilers - for White Collar, S04E02 (Most Wanted), for Scandal, S03E18 (The Price Of Free And Fair Election).

Sorry I don't explain much of the context for Scandal within the fic. Fitz is the POTUS, Olivia's having an affair with him. Olivia left DC and her life at the end of Season 3. It is as yet unknown where she went or if she'll ever return to Olivia Pope and Associates, her not-law firm (she will). In short, she and Neal are going through very similar experiences, and the fanmix and the accompanying pieces of fic are for both of them. This is assuming that they both escaped at about the same time, and that Olivia fled to Cape Verde.

I think that's about all you need to know for this to make some kind of sense.

lost at sea, a white collar/scandal fanmix (with fic) )

Title: Gotta Stand My Ground
Characters (Pairings): Neal Caffrey, Sara Ellis (Neal/Sara)
Rating: PG
Word Count: 700
Spoilers: Till S04E16 - In The Wind
Disclaimer: White Collar is Jeff Eastin's brainchild. Not mine.
Prompt: Bring On The Night (BtVS episode title - S07E10)
Summary: Bring it on. They'll be waiting.
Author's Note: For a challenge at [livejournal.com profile] gameofcards. Title from The Man Who Can't Be Moved by The Script.
Part of the Amis Amants 'verse. For more in this verse, click here.

She’s making the right decision by going to London, in that alternate universe where her job is the only thing that matters. )

I've been writing, but all of it is so unpolished and not worthy of being posted quite yet. I hope to post stuff soon! In the meanwhile, here, have a meme :D Code ganked from [livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan.

Go to my Masterlist (I'll update it by tonight, I promise!) (I didn't. Who's surprised?) and pick a passage from my stories, up to 500 words, and comment to this post with that selection (including a link to the story being excerpted will be very helpful).

I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the story, awful puns [perhaps], and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track. You can ask me anything - character motivation, writing process, or if you disagree with the direction I took in a story, ask me to defend it.
