30 Days Of Music - Day 23
Jul. 15th, 2014 08:10 pmDay 23 - A song that you want to play at your wedding
I don't plan on getting married, so I'm going to interpret this as a song that describes my romantic hopes and dreams.
one
Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift, featuring Ed Sheeran.
I'm a Swiftie, OK? And I have serious feels for this song. And the video is completely adorable. And I love it!
I think what I like about the song is the simplicity. It's not complicated love, it's not overly romantic, it's not grand gestures, it's two people singing about getting to know each other. And I'd like that. I'd like it to be easy. I don't want difficult and painful and complicated, I want simple.

two
Somewhere Only We Know, as covered by Lily Allen. This is probably only here because it's a piano heavy song, but whatever.
This isn't quite a lovesong, but it's about the kind of relationship I want, someday. It's not explicit in the lyrics, but I hear about a relationship built on mutual faith, trust, all the good things, basically.
Oh simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting tired and I need someone to rely on.

Tell Her You Love Her by Echosmith. All of it. I just... all of it. To me, it subtly explains how I'm very breakable and how I don't get over stuff easily and it's everything I want and need and whatever and it's just perfect. It helps that the lead singer has a really, really lovely voice.
This song also reminds me that one person can't prop up a relationship, can't do all the work. It has to be both of them. Which is odd, considering the lyrics, but whatever, brain vomit :P

ETA: Oops, accidentally linked to Lady Antebellum's Dancing Away With My Heart instead of the Echosmith song. I think it's fixed now :D
