No, that actually does make sense. As a writer, Neal's facade is fascinating and shiny and oh-so-fun to break down; as a person, being confronted with that facade, knowing that the facade is there, is freaky as hell.
I'm a little different though. When people like Neal Caffrey (with nothing close to his particular talents and charms, but generally, schmoozers) confront me, I blink and walk away. Like, maybe this is just me, but I'd be like - people in general are shitty, so who do you think you are, being *nice*?
