30 Days Of Music - Day 7
Jun. 26th, 2014 03:35 pmDay 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
A few years ago, there was a party for something or other, and there was a karaoke thing. People (not me, why are you looking at me, STOP LOOKING AT ME) sang songs. Some of them sang songs really well. These three I remember very clearly.
Yes, they're in Hindi, because after all, I am a desi girl (jesus fuck I can't believe I just said that) surrounded by people who've been listening to Hindi music far longer than they've been listening to English.
The first couple videos make me cringe, but the songs are good :D The first couple of songs are older, the last is newer.
- Deewana Tera by Sonu Nigam. There was this one person at the party who had an amazing singing voice. It's kinda awesome to listen to someone hitting such high notes right in front of you.
( youtube )
- Hamma Hamma by Remo Fernandez. The lady who sang this did it way better than the original, but you'll have to settle for Remo Fernandez :P
( youtube )
- Yeh Ishq Hai by Shreya Ghoshal. Okay, I held the mic for this one. But there were like seven other people, and the mike was never pointing only at me. (stage fright galore :P)
