30 Days Of Music - Day 6
Jun. 25th, 2014 10:48 amDay 06 - A song that reminds of you of somewhere
Valder Fields by Tamas Wells reminds me of this one summer vacation in Kerala. We (me and my family) were there for I think nine days, and for once in our lives, we didn't hop around from tourist destination to temple to caves. We just stayed at a guest house on a tea plantation and drank tea and played cards (Coatpiece - my dad was forever cursing my sister for not using her brain, it was hilarious!) and we just were. I think that vacation was mostly for me - it was after tenth grade public exams and I really wanted to just lie down somewhere and do nothing, and they gave me that. Even though my dad was twitchy and bored and my sister really wanted to go to a mall (and malls don't exactly exist in the same territory as tea plantations).
We went trekking and saw things like the sunrise (once - after that it was only sunsets :P) and there was so much green and it was so peaceful, and this song channels that exact vibe.
