I completed a 20in20 in a day. This has got to be some kind of achievement. (Well, I made some minor tweaks today, but the bulk of the work was done yesterday.)

I was expecting a lot more of Winona Ryder's face in this set. But it would seem that I adore Angelina Jolie a lot.

This one's for Challenge 2 of [livejournal.com profile] 20muses, for this lovely board game disguised as an inspiration post.

I feel like this set was better than my last. I may be wrong. Please correct me if I am! Concrit is welcomed :D

Oooh, I think crops are a strength of yours! The one in 6 is just lovely! I really enjoy the shadowing there but would like to have seen just a little more contrast infused in her skin to make an even starker counterpoint with her dark hair. The crops in 13 and 14 are so alluring and seductive! 18 looks so vibrant and edgy, but I think I would have used a layer mask (if you happen to use Photoshop) to remove some of the orange from the window where you can see her face so that there's more contrast between her skin and the rest of the image. It's exciting to see a new face around (well, new for me cuz I was on hiatus so I apologize if you've been around for awhile). Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future! :D

That is Matt Bomer in your icon, yes? *.* Or do my eyes deceive me?

I swear, I worked for every bit of contrast in 6 XD The caps I found were so infuriatingly dark sometimes.

That's all Angelina Jolie's work, lol. She's a walking enchantress.

I am going to have to figure out layer masks. They sound really useful. I use GIMP (*cough* because it's free *cough*) but I think that has a similar feature. So yay!

I've only been properly around for two months, and I've only ever participated in [livejournal.com profile] 20muses' icon challenges, because the standard ones don't seem to inspire me as much. Any suggestions?

Thankfully, I went through my absolute shit phase at the landcomm [livejournal.com profile] gameofcards, where it's going to take some effort to dig up all the monstrosities.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments! <333

Yup, that is the gorgeous Mr. Bomer in my default. Had the same default for years now!

I hardly ever work with caps cuz they frustrate me so much, so kudos to you for fighting to work that contrast into your icons!

Man, I wish I could help out, but I know absolutely nothing about GIMP. You should definitely ask at [livejournal.com profile] icontalking if anyone knows what that GIMP feature would be called and how to use it. Or I could ask for you if you prefer! :D

I don't think anyone ever fully stops making little monstrosities here and there. There'll always be a few missteps when you're trying something new, right? The thing to do is just not give up and to keep striving to create things you can be proud of. It seems you're doing that here, so YAY!!!

I can see why! ;-)

Oh man, I know, right? Some caps have too much yellow and orange, so you have to fight to get that out (I gave up and just made those the dominant tones here XD). And some of the caps from Girl, Interrupted were so dark that the previews were basically just black. (I turned one of those into 19, which I am extremely proud of.) But when it works out, it feels great.

Ahh, I'll just google. All the answers are there. And if they aren't, then I'll try out the comm you recced c:

That's true. Well, I suppose you just conveniently skip the monstrosities in the alts XD

YES! Taking out the colors you don't want and trying to fill in contrast and add colors you DO want can be so exhausting. But as you said, it can be very worth it in the end!

Hope you find the answers you're looking for. I'm always a PM or comment away if there's any way I can assist! :)
